This page lists the Maker Hub's upcoming events and describes the process for hosting an event.

Fall 2022 Events

Santa's Workshop (December 1st & 2nd)

This event is open to the whole GFU community. Attendees can come to the Maker Hub and make small Christmas gifts for their friends/family. The event will run on Thursday and Friday (December 1st and 2nd) from 4-7pm both days. This year's making stations include custom Christmas socks/aprons, foam-cut Christmas decorations, pyrography (wood burning), leatherworking, and coin ring making. Wobble Off (December 8th)

Come to the Maker Hub from 6:30-8pm (December 8th) and watch first-year engineering students showcase their oscillating air engine designs and compete for maximum speed, coast, air efficiency, power, and craftsmanship.

Winter Networking Reception (December 9th)

It’s not your typical career fair... Companies will set up at small bistro tables in the Maker Hub, and upper-level engineering and computer science students will roam The Hub and introduce themselves with a handshake, a business card, and a resume to discuss internship and employment opportunities. The event will run from 4-6pm (December 9th).
