A hydraulic press is a machine press using a hydraulic cylinder to generate a compressive force. They are often used for general-purpose forming work in the auto mechanic shop, machine shop, garage or basement shops, etc.
A shop press is commonly used to press interference fit parts together, such as gears onto shafts or bearings into housings.
The current Ace of the Hydraulic Press is Nathan Hayward (nhayward21@georgefox.edu).
